Fruit Flan

It's summer time so deserts have to be lighter. This recipe is very open since you can add whatever fruit you prefer or are in season.

  • Sponge
  • Whisky/Vermouth
  • Amaretto
  • Fruit - banana, strawberries, apples, pears
  • Custard - Banana or Chocolate
  • Fresh Cream / Hopla / Nestle cream / Ricotta mixed with sugar
  • Freshly roasted almonds

  • Place 1 inch of sponge at the bottom of a square bowl
  • Wet the sponge with the alcohol of your choice
  • Add a layer of custard and leave until the custard is set and cooled down
  • Add a selection of fruit of your choice previously mixed with Amaretto and some canned fruits liquid
  • Add a small layer of fresh cream
  • Cover with broken pieces of almond
This should be stored in a fridge and preferably prepared a day before it's eaten.
